I grew up in Florida but got tired of the constant sweatiness and traded it for having to shovel snow off my driveway.

I’ve loved making stuff since I was young, starting with an original hand-drawn story about my childhood cats chasing us kids at night, and many, many pencil drawings of horses. I eventually branched out to other subjects, like more cats. I have 3 of them as muses now, as well as a husband and 2 kids that are endlessly entertaining.

During my undergraduate degree in biology, I took a class called “Art in Horticulture” and then did a minor in Botanical Illustration. Both of these things planted the seeds (hehe) for my desire to work in illustration.

I mainly work digitally on Procreate, but also love traditional media. My usual mediums are watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, and pastels. Sometimes I like to make interesting textures on paper that I can photograph and digitally collage together. I love things that are a bit magical and a lot funny, and I hope that comes across in my art!
